RIP Patrick Stewart

Yeah they announced it over here on the radio less than half an hour ago. :-( Stopped the regular sports programme for a Newsflash so guessed it was either important or bad...

I'm used to getting my news from Reddit memes, but this is the first time I get such news on a necro fetish site.

Well shit. Didn't see that coming. This is another of the celeb killer years, isn't it?

Sure, but some years more people you may know die than other years.

Also, Walter Koenig (Chekov from ST:TOS) died just a couple days ago.

So I did open Reddit to see what it looks like over there, and news about sir Patrick are the first four posts on my feed: from r/millenials, r/gaming (Skyrim connection), r/formula1 (drank wine from Danny Ricciardo's shoe on a podium once) and r/space. Never seen such disparate subs together for one topic.

Saw a tribute on Instagram yesterday, with a clip of all the stars from STOS, with them on the bridge from the series and meeting themselves as they would be today, it was beautiful

A real shame. Sadly it was on the cards as he was getting on in years and also clearly becoming very frail, but even so.

Last night they even interrupted the radio sports program with an 'emergency announcement' so i guessed it was going to be bad news...

Patrick Stewart dies and William Shatner is on US tour with his metal band.
If this would be a movie people would say that's just to too crazy and implausible
