Reference images help ensure consistency in whatever project you're working on, whether image or video. Character reference sheets help lock down character appearance and prevent identity drift. Thanks to the tutorial below, I created one for my serial killer, and named him Desmond Slade.

I used GPT Image 2.0 on DZine.ai.

I just think, someone who stalks women, can enter their homes silently and get behind them without them noticing, would be someone rather small and light, so they could fit through open vents and walk on wooden floors without them creaking.

Also, it'd be beneficial to be totally unassuming, who can scout and surveil an area without anyone remembering they saw him. So like some nerdy or average dad type. Most serial killers with any decent body count are like that. Also, most spies.

It would take just one murder for people to notice that The Hulk was creeping around the area.

While if you're going for the Myers vibe, who's more like a supernatural entity that conveniently teleports rather than a human... Well that mask and the horror vibe does most of the work about him being creepy. A balaclava doesn't have that kind of visual impact.

Excellent points. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated.

I picked a balaclava because that's what my brain always defaults to when I think of an original Myers-like character without risk of copying his mask. To me, it's an equally intimidating look that also grounds him a bit more in reality, but I won't deny that I have concerns about maintaining viewers suspension of disbelief that he can get that close to his prey without making a sound. Even Grok frequently adds narrative points about the paradox of his ability to be stealthy despite his size when I have it write various scenarios about his exploits.

I'm going to keep the rest of the outfit, but will start work on a mask that brings him more in line with the horror vibe that I love about Myers.

If you are going for a supernatural killer you might just need to give him glowing eyes. That would get the point across and would work well with the balaclava. If not glowing, at least an unnatural color or shape, cat or goat pupils in yellow would do.

Serial Killer: "Fuck it Nyghtfall, how am I supposed to see a damned thing now?"
The same way fencers see through fencing hoods, using the principle of "perforated vision" and lighting contrast.

Because the wearer's eyes are so close to the mesh, their brain naturally filters out the crossed metal wires, creating a clear, unobstructed view of the opponent. Conversely, from the outside, the mask looks opaque because light reflects off the exterior, hiding the wearer's eyes and expressions.
