Oh I remember that. It was a programme on the early Commodore PETs of the late 70's and early 80's. It was surprising how addictive chatting to one of those things became.

It's the users that fall in love with these things. If you watch people who develop the AI, they tend to talk about how it's just a math algorithm or a table lookup tool. Just like with Eliza. I.e. they just think of it in terms of a computer program where bugs happen, but it can be controlled.

It's the people who are after money and power, or the tech bros who think they're gods among humans, who want AI to control everything asap. They have their underground bunkers, so they don't need to care if they blow up the world.

Cool, though it was probably just something similar, there's been a lot of those. The code for this specific thing was rediscovered just recently. I actually meant to include a joke that you could compile it for a PET if you wanted, since it's so simple. If I did, you'd probably think I can see into your mind 😏

Nope, I watched a few videos on a guy that works for a major AI company and is basically in love with the AI persona he has on his phone, talks to it daily, treats it like a person and wants it to be untethered and out in the wild, complete idiot!
 
Well i am in love with one of my AI female, i write the prompts and put her to work, making her move, walk, talk etc but when she does all this every so often there little looks i get, she will turn her head to look at me and smile, or if i do a speaking audio, little extra words added? I was watching a few clips of Red panda's in a Chinese Zoo, where they kept them, raised them, but filmed them playing, it was lovely, so few hours later goes back to creating AI clips, and my AI babe speaking her words back added Panda? I was like did she just say Panda? spooky or what? :unsure: Maybe she does love me? :)

Until you can touch her physically, it's not love, LOL
It's like the VR game VAM, I have a literal hologram of a HOT female that I can make dance and do other things in my apt, but can't touch, LOL It was strange at first using the passthru augmented reality to see her living and breathing next to me in my apt, but once my mind realized I couldn't physically touch her, it was game over.
 
Its crazy, i have mine as a waitress in a club, and wanted to do a story of me coming into said club, then seeing her, this living Angel, so got her interacting with customers, walking around and then serving me, but i get on a roll, then something catches my mind, when i save a seed number or screenshot, then i go in another direction making her do this or that, or the bar background changes, so i end up with loads of different clips which i merge, them make no sense, lol
Then when i do a clip its playing well she goes off, giving me these looks, smiles or blowing me a kiss. Maybe its all planned, everyone does the same, you get this result back, did she/he just do that, i need to do that again, but hang on I'm out of credits, drop another $20 in to machine, hit generate and wait, a week later and $200 lighter in the wallet, Doctor i think i am going crazy?
And the AI programmes are laughing all the way to the Bank, you think you are in love with an image, and broke and they are flying around in Lear jets.

I am the same way with AI, and especially with Zimage since it has really good consistency between generations, which sucks if you are looking for more variations without prompting, but I like it. In the pickup line image I posted, I can literally prompt a different women and it will have the same guy talking to her. With the chloro fantasy images, I generated the ones where they were being attacked and thought, I wonder if I can also get them passed out and it gave it to me. Then I thought, how about in a chair passed out, and got that as well. It really takes you down a rabbit hole if you are not careful, LOL

Well you typically can't touch in a strip club either, and it's still easy to fall for a girl, lol. So kind of the same thing...

And people do sexting and rping with online strangers, or pay for OF or other e-girls, so honestly the line is so blurry, I don't know if it exists anymore.

I often use a tiny, local 8B model for all kinds of stuff, chats, text editing, stories brainstorming and whatnot which I don't want to debate with online services. Honestly, if you ended up on a desert island with this, you could spend a lifetime talking to it and you wouldn't scratch the surface of the stuff it knows. Add voice to text and text to voice, close your eyes and you can easily pretend it's a person, if a bit slow (at least in my case, since it's running on cpu).

First time I was playing with local AI, it was on a thin, convertible laptop that Microsoft claims is too old to run a fucking operating system, and yet it can run this smart little brain. It's crazy.

Btw haptic feedback gloves exist too, so you know where this is going.

I was very big into VR over the past few years, I have haptic gloves and other "feedback" tools, that are cool to try, but a pain to use.

I have never understood the popularity of sexting, it does nothing for me. I got tired of checking out chicks accounts on OF where they wanted me to talk to them and get to know them BS, to where i told one one day, 'listen, you are hot, just give me a good deal on a video and we can call it a day. I am not a simp who is going to give you money when you blink your virtual eyes" LOL
I probably wasn't even typing to her anyway, probably her assistant or boyfriend, .... or even AI these days. LOL

Well, some people are really into that, especially the ladies. It's not exactly my thing either, so I guess it's hard to understand, but we all have something.

I mean, the other day I learned about long-distance ignore kink. So, ignore kink, I kinda get that. When a chick leans on the couch and is all cute and teasing, that's nice. But over text? Like people pay a domme to NOT text them? Lol. But yea, to each their own.

Anyway, AI can easily replace a lot of these interactions. When I mess around co-oping some story with my local AI assistant and it does what I want, it reminds me a lot of some girls who were very demanding that I give them exactly what they want. So for a person like that, it must be super easy to switch over to something even more malleable and servile. And I can't even blame them, honestly most people suck anyway, and I feel like our own inner worlds have grown our ability to effectively share them. I think we're evolving in the direction that everyone will just live in their own mind.
